A few days ago, the Market Supervision Bureau of Yunnan Province released the annual report on the supervision of the online market. It is reported that although the main body of the network market continues to grow, the regional distribution is uneven. By the end of last year, the province had 28411 self built websites and 32 e-commerce platforms, of which only one had more than 1000 operators and 26 had less than 100 operators.

As of December 31, 2018, there were 50151 ICP registration entities and 64300 websites in Yunnan Province. 27330 online market entities were included in the "Yunnan Online Trading Supervision System", an increase of 3043 or 12.5% over the previous year. 40532 websites and online stores were opened by online market entities, an increase of 5804 or 16.7% over the previous year. The province has 28411 self built websites and 32 e-commerce platforms. There are 171206 operators in the major domestic e-commerce platforms in our province, including 4344 online stores registered by industry and commerce, and 166862 online stores opened by natural persons without registration.

The main areas of the network market in Yunnan Province are unevenly distributed. There are 17940 households in Kunming, the provincial capital (including the registered main body of the provincial bureau), accounting for 66% of the province. From the perspective of subject distribution, the development of network economy subjects is highly related to the level of economic development and the development of regional characteristic advantageous industries. For example, the number of online market players in Kunming, Qujing and Yuxi is basically consistent with their economic aggregate in the province; Secondly, Lijiang, Dali, Xishuangbanna and other states and cities with more developed tourism have a relatively large proportion of network market players.

From January to December 2018, the online retail sales of Yunnan Province reached 77.941 billion yuan, up 44.73% year on year, 21.78 percentage points higher than that of the whole country.
