After installing the wordpress program for the website, we can log in to the background of wordpress to see its style. Although Massachusetts is small, it has a complete set of internal organs. The background interface of WordPress is relatively simple, not as colorful as the background of Dream CMS program. However, the functions of the background are very powerful. Now, let's follow me to learn about the backstage of WordPress.
First, log in to the background of wordpress. The login address is: domain name/wp admin. After successful login, the WordPress background dashboard interface is displayed by default, as shown below. WordPress background mainly consists of three parts: top toolbar, left navigation menu and right content bar. If a new version of the official version of WordPress comes out, a prompt will appear at the top of the content bar of the dashboard interface (as shown below).
Some website status information will be displayed on the left side of the top toolbar, such as the number of upgrades and article comments. On the right side is the current user. Move the mouse over the user image to expand Edit User Information.
Click the "Articles" menu in the left navigation menu, and several submenus will be expanded under the left navigation: All Articles, Write Articles, Category Directory, and Labels. All published articles will be displayed in the right content bar. As shown below:
Click "Page" in the left menu to expand 2 submenus under the "Page" menu: All Pages, New Page, and display all created pages in the right content bar. As shown below:
Click "Appearance" in the left menu, and seven submenus will be expanded under the "Appearance" menu: theme, customization, gadgets, menu, top, background, and theme editor (as shown in the following figure). Of course, when WordPress websites use different themes, the submenu here will also change accordingly. For example, if some themes do not use gadgets, the widget menu may not be displayed here. The content bar on the right will display the installed themes of the wordpress website.
Click "Plug in" in the left menu to expand three submenus under the "Plug in" menu: Installed Plug in, Installed Plug in, and Plug in Editor. All installed plug-ins will be displayed in the right content bar (as shown below).
Click "Users" in the left menu to expand three submenus under the "Users" menu: All Users, Add Users and My Profile. All registered user information will be listed in the right content bar, as shown below.
Click the "Tools" button in the left navigation, and six submenus will be expanded below: Available Tools, Import, Export, Site Health, Navigate Personal Data, and Erase Personal Data.
Click the "Settings" button in the left navigation, and seven submenus will be expanded below: General, Write, Read, Discuss, Media, Fixed Links, and Privacy. By default, there are only seven submenus, but if we install plug-ins, there may be more than seven submenus. The content bar on the right will display the relevant information of the corresponding submenu in the settings.
All the above functions will be explained in detail in the following article.
