Hello, my name is achair. In the last episode, I shared with you the difference between using WordPress as a page and using custom design as a page. The main difference is that the scope of customization is different. This episode shares with you the core question, "How large is the customization scope of WordPress template website?"
Whether you use Avada theme, BeTheme theme, or Astra theme, the Elementor Editor uses WordPress Theme There are limitations in the customization scope of website plans, but each theme and editor has different limitations. Only 100% design from scratch (Photoshop) can make it possible for 100% customers to point where they are.
although WordPress Theme It can't be 100% customized, but it can be modified in a wide range. Now let's take a look at the WordPress template website and what information needs to be modified.
1. Modify the basic information of the website: change the site name, logo, main navigation menu, copyright information, and replace text and pictures for the template pages that have been arranged
2. Basic functions of the website: news module, case display module, message module, product module, etc
3. Customization: If you feel that the default appearance of the template is not good enough, you can readjust the page header and footer layout, the content of the template page can also be readjusted, the font size can be adjusted, the global color can be adjusted, etc
4. Function extension: if you think there are too few basic functions, you can add multilingual websites, add product classification and multi condition filtering, add inquiry buttons and forms, add online customer service, add SEO modules, etc
The above is a site that often needs to be modified, but not all customers need to change. Here I divide it into three levels.
Level 1: The above 1 and 2 are basic modifications and follow Replace In Place In principle, the cost (price) is the lowest. It is the lowest communication cost and production cost.
The second level: 3 and 4 are more advanced. On the basis of the original theme demonstration station, new functions are added, or existing functions or pages are adjusted. This level requires more communication time and production time.
The third level: 3 and 4 can not meet the customer's new needs. There is no mature solution at present. It takes more time to find solutions and tests. After finding them, it may not be what the customer needs, but they need to find again.
The more time is spent, the higher the cost is paid, and the higher the quotation is. Here comes another "core key point", which may not be recognized by everyone. Even if not, I will say it in the next article. (Note: Personal opinion of achair, don't spray if you don't like it)
Here's the end of this article. The next article will share the Core of Website Construction, mainly for customers (website owners).
