The Zhonglan Section of Yinlan High speed Railway is one of the major investment projects of Gansu Railway Investment Group, and it is the first railway owned by Gansu Province. It is constructed and operated by China Lanzhou Railway Passenger Dedicated Line Co., Ltd. The project spans Gansu and Ningxia provinces, with a design speed of 250 km/h and a total length of 219.671 km, of which the Gansu section is 173.458 km long, which is an important part of the Beijing Huzhou Yinlan Channel of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network.
The line starts from Zhongwei City in the north, passes Baiyin City to Lanzhou City in the south, and leads to Lanzhou West Station from the west end of Lanzhou Terminal. It is planned to be put into operation on December 26, 2022. Five new stations, including Beitan, Pingchuan, Jingyuan North, Baiyin South and Qinwangchuan, have been built in Gansu section. At present, five new station buildings have been completed, and the final operation test is being carried out to ensure that they are put into use in good condition.

After the completion of the Zhonglan Section of Yinzhou Lanzhou High speed Railway, the travel time from Zhongwei to Lanzhou will not only be shortened from 5 hours to 1 hour, but also the infrastructure such as passenger dedicated lines, urban public transport, long-distance passenger transport, tourism transport and taxis will be integrated to form a comprehensive transportation hub, providing strong support for the development of local economy.
Qinwangchuan Station
Qinwangchuan Station is located in the southeast of Lanzhou New Area. The design concept of the station building is "Yellow River Jade · Sunny View". The glass curtain wall in the middle of the station building is light and transparent, with exquisite details. The vivid curve shows the image of the Yellow River flowing.
The suspended ceiling design of the waiting hall extracts the lotus elements from the Dunhuang caisson. The architectural image has a ethereal and light aesthetic feeling, which makes the structure of the whole station building light and beautiful, shows the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional classic cultural elements, and creates a gorgeous and elegant space form.
Baiyin South Station
Baiyin South Station is located in Baiyin District, Baiyin City. The design concept of the station building is "Tongcheng Gate, New Landscape". The shape of the station is integrated into the image of "City Gate". The overall shape is thick and powerful, reflecting the important position of the station as the city gate. At the same time, the design of the station building integrates the design concept of "mountain shape and water meaning", reflecting the beautiful natural landscape of Baiyin City.
The waiting hall takes the silver brick modeling as the design entry point, extracts the outline of the silver ingot, simplifies the artistic processing, and forms a unique plastic arts monomer. The pillars of the waiting hall are triangular shaped, reflecting the sense of industry, matching the historical tradition of Baiyin Industrial City, and carrying the historical memory of the city. The overall design of the waiting hall presents a colorful image of the silver city, which jointly confirms the unique cultural connotation of the silver city.
Jingyuan North Station
Jingyuan North Station is located in the north of Jingyuan County. The design concept of the station building is "New Rhythm of the Yellow River, Nine Curved Anlan". The building shape is interlaced by two curved blocks, outlining the overall station building shape, just like the meandering Yellow River, which nourishes the water and soil peacefully.
The decoration of the waiting hall forms the spatial feeling of the continuous flow of the Yellow River through arrangement and combination. At the same time, the pattern of the Great Wall is extracted for artistic processing to form a regular and beautiful pattern, which is applied to the detailed space modeling to increase the sense of space thickness.
Pingchuan West Station
Pingchuan West Station is located in the west of Pingchuan District. The station building is designed with the concept of "pottery capital in the northwest, colorful Pingchuan". The overall shape is abstract to show the Ciyao architectural site in Pingchuan District, and the ancient arch image is interpreted in triangles to form a simple and atmospheric architectural appearance, which reflects the profound cultural heritage and era of Pingchuan.

Beitan Station is located at the junction of Gansu and Ningxia. The design concept of the station building is "magnificent, new peak in Beitan", and the typical characteristics of northwest architecture - thick brick walls as the enclosure structure. The decoration of the waiting hall deduces the pattern in the form of building curtain wall, applies the pattern of residents' window grilles to the key space for detailed decoration, increases the space details, and creates a modern station with both traditional aesthetics and the spirit of the times.
